Lojbab's comment that UI+pei asks for the intensity to which the UI applies
to the listener needs to be supplemented by an explanation of pei+UI.
This construct asks whether or not the UI applies at all. For example:
oipei
How much pain are you in?
pei.oi
Are you in pain at all?
