I don't think that's correct.  "le tanxe" has been consistently glossed in
the reference and teaching materials as "what I refer to as a box", which is
specific, at least according to John's definition (i.e. specific means the
speaker has a particular item in mind; definite means the listener has a
particular item in mind)
