The book is real!

On Wed, I got the first 99 copies of the book, and it is quite pretty,
if
you have a taste for tomes %^).

It's REAL!

The rest of the books will take till next week (at least, but I hope I'll
get them then).  We'll probably start seriously mailing them around
Thanksgivingm though I will be sending some to the author to get the
autographed copies started.

HOWEVER.  I will be at Philcon, the Philadelphia science fiction convention
this weekend, and I will have copies of the books with me.  If you have
ordered a book and paid for it, I will be happy to give it to you then.
If you have not ordered it, you can buy a copy from me there for $40 (no
preorder price since obviously it is not a preorder) plus possibly sales
tax, depending on the rules there - I may find someone with a table in the
vendor's room to keep the books and handle the sales.  If someone knows or
is such a vendor going to Philcon, I would like a phonecall to work out
details including how much we should pay for this service (703-385-0273).

I don't expect to sell a lot of books, but everything helps.  We've had
around 120 paid orders so far, and this is only a fraction of what we need
to pay the printer, and I need to come up with a check to get the rest of
the books next week.

(needless to say, if you preordered the book, and want to get it from me,
it will have to be from me personally.  The logiustics of this may be
difficult at a big con like Philcon.  Look for a large overweight bearded
guy with glasses and Lojbab on the label.).


Meanwhile, the time period for regular preorders is getting short.  You only
have till the end of the month.  I still have 25 or so orders that were
spoken for, but for which I have not received payment, and I need the
payment to give you the lower price.
