First successful language development by a committee

coi rodo

I notice that on the Lojban 10th anniversary announcement on the Lojban
WWW Archive, Lojbab says that Lojban has been described as the first ever
successful language development by a committee. I have to say, this
description is false. Interlingua was also developed successfully by a
committee, and it was completed four years before the Loglan project was
even announced! Interlingua was baselined in 1951 by the International
Auxiliary Language Association of New York, under the direction of Dr
Alexander Gode.
